My Top 5 Horror Movies To Watch On Halloween.

Hola, Movie Goers! This Is Octavio Martinez Jr. A.K.A. "The Movie Vato" Giving You My Latest Reviews On Movies New And Old! The Halloween Season Is Coming To A End, And I Am Kinda Sad That Halloween Only Comes Once A Year. But, If You Have Friends Who Are Horror Movie Nerds, Or If You're A Horror Movie Nerd Yourself, Hell... The Halloween Season Never Dies. And To Honor This Halloween Season, I Going To Post My Top 5 Horror Movies To Watch On Halloween! So, Let's Get Crackin', Movie Lovers! Here Are My Top 5 Horror Movies To Watch On Halloween:

The Movie Vato Presents: Top 5 Horror Movies To Watch On Halloween.

5. Stephen King's IT
Stephen King's IT Wasn't Really A Horror Movie Feature Film, It Was Originally A Miniseries That Made Its Debut On ABC In November Of 1990. But, It's Still A Classic Horror Movie To Watch On Halloween!

Based On Stephen King's Novel, The Movie Is About Seven Kids Known As "The Loser Club" Facing A Clown By The Name Pennywise Terrorizing Their Neighborhood. The Kids Do Defeat Pennywise, And Made A Pact If Pennywise Returns, They Will All Return To Their Hometown, And Vow To Defeat Him Again. 30 Years Later, The Loser Club Returns To Their Hometown And Faces Pennywise One More Time.

This Movie Doesn't Really Have Big Movie Stars In Here. The Adult Cast Of The Loser Club Are Basically Famous Television Actors! Harry Anderson, Tim Reid, Richard Thomas, Dennis Christopher, Richard Mausr, Annette O' Toole, And The Late John Ritter. But, The Younger Cast Of "The Loser Club" Did Have Three Cast Members That Became Big Stars. Seth Green, Emily Perkins, And The Late Johnathan Brandis.

Tim Curry Is The Only Big Hollywood Actor In This Movie, And Starts As The Title Character IT A.K.A. Pennywise The Clown. Curry's Performance And His Appearance As Pennywise Was So Good, That Everybody Was Working With Him They Avoid Being Near Him. For Anybody Who Grew Up In The 1990s, And For Some Reasons Afraid Of Clowns, This Movie Could Be The Reason Of That. Pennywise Was Of Course A Monster, And His True Form Was A Big Disappointment, But Everybody Was Afraid Of His Clown Form More.

"Everybody Is Afraid Of Me? Gee... I Wonder Why."
In 2012, It Was Rumored To Believed That They Want To Adapt IT Into A Two-Part Feature Film, And It Will Be Directed By Cary Fukunaga. I Hope That He Will Do A Good Job And Make Pennywise A Much Darker Clown, And Pennywise's True Form Is More Scarier Than Crappy.

4. John Carpenter's Halloween
What Person Who Not Put This Movie On Their List To Watch On Halloween? Well, Not Me!

This Story Is About A Young Boy By The Name Of Michael Myers Ends Up Killing This Older Sister Judith Myers With A Kitchen Knife. 15 Years Have Passed, And Michael Ends Up Living In A Mental Institute And Somehow Escapes. Michael Goes Back To His Neighborhood And Starts Stalking A 17-Year Old Girl By The Name Of Laurie Strode Who Is Played By Jamie Lee Curtis. While Michael Starts Killing A Bunch Of Teenagers Around His Neighborhood, A Psychiatrist By The Name Dr. Samuel Loomis Who Is Played Donald Pleasence Turns Out To Be Michael's Psychiatrist Tries To Find A Way To Bring Back Michael To The Institute Before He Ends Up Killing People.

This 1978 Horror Movie Classic Became One Of The Most Franchises In The Horror Genre. This Happen To Be Jamie Lee Curtis' Feature Film Debut, Nick Castle Who Was An Actor Back Then, Now A Big Hollywood Screenwriter And Director Was Michael Myers In This Film . This Franchise Came Out With A Couple Of Sequels And A Rebooted Series That Was Directed By Rob Zombie.

Little Known Facts About This Movie, The Michael Myers' Mask Was Originally A Star Trek Mask Of Captain James T. Kirk. They Just Painted It White To Make It Look Mysterious. John Carpenter's Budget In This Movie Was Only $325,000 And Made $70,000,000 In The Box Office. Recently, Halloween Just Celebrated It's 35th Anniversary And Now Is Released On Blu-Ray For The First Time.

You Know, If You Just Put William Shatner In White Makeup, He Would Have Been This Movie.

             3. Wes Craven's New Nightmare

Wes Craven's Best Nightmare On Elm Street Film He Ever Did!

1994 Marked The Tenth Anniversary Of The Original "Nightmare On Elm Street", And Wes Craven Thought It Would Be The Good Idea To Make A Special 10th Anniversary Movie Of "Nightmare On Elm Street", And This Movie Did Not Disappoint.

The Story Starts With Heather Langenkamp Who Plays As Herself Is Now A Married Woman Who Has A Husband And A Son. Due To Her Popularity As Nancy Thompson In The Original "Nightmare On Elm Street", She Would Be Getting Prank Calls From Fans Quoting Certain Lines In The Movie. Heather Does Get A Phone Call From New Line Cinema, And Offer Her In A Role To The Latest Nightmare Film, Little Does Heather Know, That Production Of New Nightmare Film Was Already Be Worked. During The Set On The Film, Heather's Husband Chase Who Is Played By David Newson Is A Special Effect Artist And Created A New Freddy Hand. The Freddy Hand Mysteriously Kills Two Members Of The Film Crew And Chase. After The Funeral, John Saxon Who Plays Himself Comforts Heather After The Lost Of Her Husband, And She Told John That Her Son Dylan Who Is Played By Miko Hughes Is Been Acting Strange. Dylan Turns Out To Be Freddy's Messenger, And Started To Make Threats To Heather. It Was Later To Revealed That Freddy Krueger Who Is Played By Robert Englund And Making Contact To The Real World. Heather Would Have To Face Freddy One More Time As Nancy Thompson And Save Her Son.

I Happened To Love This Movie Much More Than The Original! I Was Glad That Wes Craven Appears In This Movie, As Well As Robert Englund As Himself And A Much Darker And Less Comical Freddy Krueger, John Saxon Reprising His Role As Lt. Donald Thompson Was Awesome! This Movie Was Mildly Successful In The Box Office, It Made The Lowest Amount Of Money In The Franchise. But, In The End... Wes Craven's New Nightmare Had Cult Following When It Was Release On Video And It Became A Instant Classic!

Little Known Facts About This Movie, Wes Craven Did See All Of The "Nightmare On Elm Street" Films And Made His Own Personal Sequel Instead Of Doing Any Connections Of The Last Six "Nightmare" Films. Johnny Depp Was Originally Going To Be In This Film As A Cameo, But Wes Craven Changed His Mind The Last Minute, Depp Actually Met Craven In The Red Carpet Premiere, And Told Craven That He Would Have Done The Film. When Heather Langenkamp And John Saxon Had To Reprise Their Roles As The Thompsons, They Were Wearing Same Clothes In The Original "Nightmare On Elm Street".

Robert Englund's Performance As A Darker Freddy Krueger Was Awesome In This Movie!
This Freddy Was More Scarier That The First Movie.

2. Dracula

The Godfather Of Horror Movies Had To Be On My "Top 5" List!

In 1931, Universal Studios Was The First Movie Studio In The Untied States To Make A Horror Movie, And Started A Movement Making Horror Icons To Life On The Big Screen. "Dracula" Was Their First Horror Film They Made.

Based On Bram Stoker's Novel, The Story Begins By A Traveler Named Renfield Who Is Played By Dwight Fyre Traveling To Transylvania For A Business Matter. Local Villagers Warn Renfield Not To Go To Dracula's Castle, Renfield Refused To Listen, And Goes To The Castle. By The Time He Enters The Castle, Renfield Is Welcomed By Count Dracula Who Is Played Bela Lugosi. Dracula Makes Renfield Spent The Night In The Castle, Little Does Renfield Know That Count Dracula Was A Vampire. The Next Day, Dracula Hypnotized Renfield, And Makes Him Take Dracula To England. Dracula Ends Up Meeting Dr. Seward Who Is Played By Herbert Bunston, Dr. Seward Who Owns An Asylum Takes Renfield In And Reviews Him. While That Happens Dracula Take Ends Up Taking Mostly Female Victims For His Feast. One Of The Victims Happen To Be Dr. Seward's Daughter  Mina Who Is Played By Helen Candler. Seward Is Worries About His Daughter, He Ends Up Bringing A German Professor By The Name Of Van Helsing Who Is Played By Edward Van Sloan To Check Was Is Wrong With His Daughter. Helsing Examines Mina, But Also Examines Renfield. Helsing Figures Out What Is Wrong With Mina And Reinfield, And Tells Dr. Seward The Truth About Dracula, And With The Help Of John Harker Who Is Played By David Manners Tries To Find A Way To Stop Dracula.

I Have To Put This Movie On The List Because This Is One Of Those Movies, That Is A Timeless Classic! This Movie Made Bela Lugosi A Horror Movie Icon For The Over 80 Years. There Were So Many Actors Who Played The Role As Dracula, But Lugosi Outshine Them All! Every Likeness Of Dracula That You See On A Picture, Always Has The Likeness Of Bela Lugosi! The Movie May Be In Black & White, It's One Of Those Movie That You Have To Admire About.

Little Know Facts About This Movie, This Is Only Vampire Movie That Doesn't Have Vampires To Show Any Fangs. Instead Of Dubbing Dracula In Spanish, Universal Studios Thought It Would Be A Good Idea To Re-Shot This Movie By Spanish-Speaking Actors. Bela Lugosi Reprises His Role As Dracula Again In The Movie "Abbott And Costello Meets Frankenstein". Dracula Was Originally Was Suppose To Look Like Nosferatu, But The Producers Decided To Change Appearance Cause They Didn't Want Give Any Kids Nightmares.

Dracula: The Man, The Myth, The Legend.

Carrie Review Part 2 (2002 TV Film)

All Right, Movie Goers! I Want To Apologize For Give You A Late Review On This Version On "Carrie", But I Wanted To Finish Right Now. And Now, Give Yourself Around Of Applause For Making It This Far! I Know That Made You Read The "Carrie" Review Part I, But... I Will Promise You That I Will Shorten This Review For You Guys.

Okay, Now That We Are In The Second Part Of The "Carrie" Review, In 2002, MGM Studios And NBC Decided To Revamp "Carrie" In A Modern World. Which Sounded Good At First, But It Was Going To Be Released As A TV Movie. So, In Other Words... It Wasn't Going To Be Gory As Like The First "Carrie" Movie. Sounds Very Disappointing When You Hear It. But, There Was A Reason Why This Movie Became A TV Movie, There Is A Certain Twist That Threw Off Mostly Everybody. And I Am Going To Tell You What It Is... After I Review This Movie.

The Story: Okay, For Anybody Who Read The "Carrie" Review Part I, You Pretty Much Know The Story. If You Don't, I Will Short It For You:

We Meet A Shy Girl By The Name Of Carrie White Who Later Realize That She Had The Power Of Telekinesis. But Before That She Was Aware That She Had This Power, She Was Bullied By Most Of Her Classmates, And By Her Heavy Religious Mother, Margret White. The Only People That Befriended Carrie Was Her Gym Teacher, Sue Snell, And Tommy Ross. During That Time, Chris Who Is Carrie's Enemy Is Banned From Her School Prom, Due To The Fact The She Refused To Attending Deletion After Making Fun Of Carrie When Carrie Got Her First Period. When Margret Found Out That Her Daughter That She Got Her First People, She Started To Abuse Her, And Locks Carrie In A Closet Where She Has To Pray To God Of Her Sinful Ways. Sue Snell Who Have Felt Guilty Taunting Carrie, She Ask Her Boyfriend Tommy Ross To Ask Carrie To Go To The Prom With Him. Tommy Caves In And Tell Sue That He Will Ask Carrie To The Prom. For The Last Couple Of Days, Carrie Goes To The Library To Figure Out What Is Causing Her To Do Certain Things With Her Mind, Tommy Ends Up Meeting Carrie In The Library And Ask Carrie To The Prom. Carrie Refused At First, But Finally Gives In, And Accepted. Later On That Night, Chris Found Out That Carrie Is Going To The Prom, And Asked Her Boyfriend, Billy To Help Her Ruin Carrie's Night Of The Prom. Billy Helps Chris By Killing A Innocent Pig And Drain The Pig's Blood Into A Bucket And Set It Up At The High School's Catwalk. While That Was Happening, Carrie Told Margaret That She Was Invited To The Prom. Margaret Threw Her Drink At Carrie, And Telling Her Daughter That She Is Sinning Due To The Fact That She Is Going To The Prom. Carrie Snaps At Her Mother Which Cause Her To Use Her Powers. After Margret Seeing What Her Daughter Can Do, She Claims That Carrie Is A Demon. The Next Day, Everybody Was Getting Ready For The Prom, As Carrie Got Ready For The Prom, Margaret Tries To Talk To Her Daughter Out Of The Prom Think That She Be Made Fun Of, As Much As Margret Tries To Do Anything, Carrie's Powers Would Be Unleashed. As Tommy & Carrie Arrived At The Prom, Everybody Started To See Carrie As A Equal. Carrie's Gym Teacher Talks To Carrie And Tells Her About Her Prom Experience. As Carrie Finish Talking To Her Gym Teacher, Tommy Asked Carrie To Dance With Him, Carrie Was Curious On Why Did Tommy Asked Her Out, Tommy Said That He Liked Carrie, Carrie Accidentally Kisses Tommy, But Tommy Kisses Her Back. After The Dance, Ballots Were Handed Out To The Students To Figure Out Who Was Going To Be The New King And Queen Of The Prom, Carrie And Tommy Found Out That They Were A Part Of The Ballot. After Voting For Themselves, Norma Who Would Be One Of Chris' Cronies Would Be Switching On The Ballots So Carrie And Tommy Would Win The Ballot. After The Ballots Was Switched, It Was Reveal That Carrie And Tommy Win The King And Queen Of The Prom, As They Heading Up To The Stage, Little Did They Know That Chris And Billy Were Secretly Hiding Underneath The Stage. When Carrie & Tommy Went Upstage, Chris & Billy Were Getting Ready To Pull The Rope Of Pig's Blood On Carrie. As Carrie Was Crowned The New Prom Queen, Chris Finally Pulls The Rope And Causes The Blood To Land All Over Carrie. Tommy Wanted To Know Who Did That Prank On Carrie, When Suddenly The Empty Pail Fell On Tommy, And Left Him Out Cold. Chris & Billy Quickly Left Prom, Little Did They Know That Carrie Was Blinded By Rage Due To The Fact That Everybody Was Laughing At Her. Carrie's Rage Started Making Her Use The Powers. She Locked All The Doors, Make The Lights Burn Out Violent, And Started To Use The Fire Hose And Spray Everybody. Carrie's Telekinesis End Up Killing The School Principal, Her Gym Teacher, And Norma. While This Massacre Was Happening, Chris & Billy Was Seeing The Whole Thing Outside By The Gym Window, Chris And Billy Were Shocked And Were Witnessing This Terrifying Massacre. Carrie's Telekinesis Was Getting Stronger By The Minute, She End Up Leaving The Gym, Causing The Gym Be On Fire, And Left Everybody For Dead. As Carrie Was Walking Home, Chris And Billy Were Driving Behind Her, And Chris Was Going Running Carrie Over. Carrie Spotted The Car, And Cause The Car To Flip Over And Explode, Causing Billy And Chris Die Instantly. As Carrie Went Home, She Took A Bath To Clean Out The Pig's Blood, Carrie Was Crying After Realizing That Her Mother Was Right. After Her Bath, Carrie Was Looking For Her Mother, Margaret Found Carrie And Decided To Kill Her Thinking That Her Daughter Is The Devil. Carrie Finds A Way To Protect Her, And For A Last Resort, She Ends Up Using Her Telekinesis To Kill Her Mother. After Carrie Killing Margaret, Carrie Realizing What She Has Done, Carrie's Anger Got So Out Of Control, It Cause Her To Take Her Own Life, And Her Own Home. The House That Carrie And Margaret Once Lived Was Now Gone. Some Time Has Passed By, And Sue Snell Decided To Visit The Remains Of Carrie's House To Pay Her Final Respects For Carrie. Sue Left A Flower When All Of A Sudden, Carrie's Arm Came Out And Started Yanking Sue. Sue Screaming In Terror, And Was Trying To Break Out Of Carrie's Grip, Later Realizing That Sue Was Dreaming And Screaming Into Her Mother's Arms.

Now, That Is How The Original "Carrie" Movie Happened. But, In The 2002 Version... It's Pretty Much The Same, But Some Minor Changes To The Script. Of Course, They Still Made The Story More Updated For A Modern World. They Still Have The Same Characters: Carrie White Is Played By Angela Bettis, Margaret White Is Played By Patricia Clarkson, Miss Desjarden (The Gym Teacher's Original Name In The Book) Played Is By Rena Sofer, Sue Snell Is Played Kandyse McClure, Chris Hargensen Is Played By Emile De Ravin, Tommy Ross Is Played By Tobias Mehler, Billy Nolan Is Play By Jesse Cadotte, And Norma Watson Is Played By Meghan Black.

But, In This Movie They Made New Characters To Make The Movie A Little Longer I Guess. But The Two New Characters That Caught My Attention In This Movie Were Detective John Mulchaey Who Is Played By David Keith And Tina Blake (Even Thought She Was Originally In The Novel, She Made Her Movie Debut In This Movie.) And Tina Blake Was In Played Katharine Isabelle.

Now, The Reason Why Detective Mulchaney Was In This Movie, Is Investigating On The Disappearance Of Carrie White, And Ends Up Interviewing Norma Watson, Miss Desjarden, And Sue Snell. Detective Mulchaney Tries To Figures Out The Connection To Suspects On Carrie. Norma Watson & Miss Desjarden Were The Only One That Were Clean And Had Alibi. Sue Snell Had To Lie To Detective Mulchaney To Keep A Certain Alibi, It Turns Out That Sue Was Secretly Hiding Carrie In A Storage Unit. Sue Decided To Help Carrie To Leave Town To Prevent Carrie Getting Captured By Detective Mulchaney. As Sue & Carrie Were Leaving Town, Carrie Started To Have Nightmares Of Her Mother & Chris. Carrie Wakes Up And Sees Sue Driving Towards Florida.

Trivia: The Reason Why This TV Movie Was Made Is Because It Was Going To Be Originally A TV Series, But Due To Poor Ratings... It Was Never Picked Up.

The Movie Made Its Television Debut 26 Years After The Original "Carrie" Movie Was Released.

Carrie White Is A 17 Year Old Teenager In This Movie Yet Again, But Angela Bettis Was Actually In Her Late Twenties In This Movie. While Most Of The Teenage Cast Were In There Early To Mid Twenties, Angela Happened To Be The Oldest In The Cast... As A Teenager.

A Year After "Carrie" Movie Was Released, During A Interview Angela Bettis Revealed That She Hated It Movie. And She Also Continued To Say That If She Wasn't Apart Of The Movie, She Wouldn't Have Watched The Movie.

My Rating: For This Version Of "Carrie", Wasn't Really That Bad. Of Course, This Was A Made For TV Movie, So I Was Little Disappointed That There Wasn't Any Gore In This Movie. Angela Bettis Performance As Carrie White Was Really Good. She Really Made Carrie Look Like An Outcast In This Movie.

Angela Bettis Really Made Carrie Into A Shy Teenage That Was Odd.
Patricia Clarkson As Margaret White I Really Did Like! Her Margaret Was Modern, And Less Crazy, But She Still Got Abuse Carrie And Still Made Her A Religious Nut. I Did Like Emile De Ravin As Chris, She Really Made Chris As Spoiled Teenage Girl, She Would Do Anything To Get What She Wants. And I Do Like The Fact That She Tried To Mess With Carrie's Head About Sue Snell. And I Like The Fact That She Had A Conscience, And Try To Change Her Mind To Abuse Carrie, But Due To Peer Pressure To Her Boyfriend Billy Nolan, She Had No Other Choice, But To Be A Bully.

The Production Of The Movie Was Okay. The Special Effects In The Movie Were Mildly Well For A TV Movie, The Only Thing That I Didn't Like For A Special Effect Wise, Was When Carrie Was Walking Towards Her Home, And The Whole Background Was In CGI, And It Was The Cheesy CGI And It Was Green Screened. But, In Some Scenes Where Carrie Uses Her Telekinesis, Is Really Cool Cause They Will Still Uses Some Old School Special Effects That Would Make It Look Real.

The Story In This Movie, I Mostly Like Due To The Fact That This Movie Was More Based On The Novel. Like For Instance, Carrie Has A Flashback When She Was A Child And This Is The First Time Where Her Powers Started To Come Out Around That Time. That Scene Was Originally Was Going To Be In The Original Movie, But They Cut That Scene Out Due To Lack Of Certain Effects. And When Margaret Is Killed By Carrie, Carrie Kills Her By Crushing Her Heart Instantly, And Not By Stabbing Her With Knives.

In Closing, "Carrie" As A TV Movie Was Okay, They Still Kept The Original Concept From The Novel, Which I Like. The Characters In This Movie Did Have Minor Changes Just To Keep It With The Modern World, Which Is Okay, And It Made Some Characters Look A Little Better. For Instance, Chris & Billy In The 1976 Movie Where More Like A Comic Duo, But In This Movie, They Made Chris & Billy A Little Darker, Billy Was More Of A Psycho Than Chris. Not Much Gory Happen In This Movie, And I Can See How They Would Water Down A Little Bit For The Audience. This Movie Is Worth Renting Instead Of Owning It As Part Of A Collection. Unless You Are A Fan Of Horror Movies And Stephen King, It Wouldn't Hurt To Put This In Your Collection. And It's Worth Watching During The Halloween Season!

My Rating For This "Carrie" Movie, By Rating It With The Use Of Internet Memes, "Forever Alone" Being The Lowest, And "AAAAAAWWWWWWW YYYYYEEEEAAAAAHHHHH" Being The Highest.

I Give This "Carrie" A "Close Enough" Rating.

A Remake Of A 1976 Horror Movie Classic? Close Enough.
All Right, Movie Lovers! That Is The End Of The Two Part "Carrie" Review, And Be Sure To Watch The Latest Installment Of "Carrie" Starring With Chole Grace Mortez And Julianne Moore. Thank You For Reading!

Since I Took A Long Time Writing About The Story, I Am Going To Shorten The Trivia And My Rating. Sorry About That, Guys.

Trivia: Sissy Spacek And Piper Laurie Were Both Nominated For An Oscar, But Never Won.

Sissy Spacek Was Nominated For Best Actress And Piper Laurie Was Nominated For Best Supporting Actress.
John Travolta, William Katt,  Betty Buckle, And Amy Irving Made Their Feature Film Debut In This Film.

"Carrie" Was The First Film To Be Based On A Novel That Was Written By Stephen King.

Even Thought Carrie Was Supposed To Be A 17 Year Old Girl, Sissy Spacek Was Actually In Her Mid Twenties In Real Life, As Well Whole Teenager Cast. Everybody Was In Their Mid Twenties, Betty Buckle Who Played To Miss Collins Was Only 28 Years Old Made Her A Little Bit Older Then The Rest Of The Cast.

In 1999, Amy Irving Returned As Sue Snell In The Rage: Carrie 2, Sue Was A Counselor To Help A Teenage Girl By The Name Of Rachel Lang Who Was Later Revealed To Be Carrie's Half-Sister. The Movie Was Box Office Failure.

Don't Feel Bad, Amy... Nobody Remembers The Rage: Carrie 2. That Movie Sucked Anyways.
My Review: This Is One Of Those Movies That It's Worth Watching. Not Due To The Fact That It's A Horror Movie, But Does Send Out A Message To People Who Abuse A Certain Person In Their Lives. If You Ever Abuse A Person Just Because They're Different, It Will Come Back To Bite You. Sissy Spacek's Performance As Carrie White Really Made That Character Come To Life In This Movie. Sissy's Acting Was So Well, I Thought That She Was Really A Shy Person. Piper Laurie's Performance Was Extremely Well In This Movie. This Happen To Be Laurie's First Movie In Over A 15 Year Span, Which Made "Carrie" Her Comeback Movie. Laurie's Performance As Margaret White Really Caught My Attention, Her Acting As A Extreme Religious Nut Who Abused Her Daughter Reminded Me Of Stories Of People Who Have Been Living With People That Describes Margaret White. And I Like The Fact That People Think Margaret Is A Stereotype, No... Margaret White Brought The Stereotype To Life! Brian De Palma Directing In This Movie Was Excellent. He Made Scenes Where He Knew What You Were Feeling When You Were Watching It, The Close Ups To A Character's Face Can Give You A Better Description On Their Profile, Which To Me Is Very Rare Today's Movies. De Palma Knew How Work A Character's Feeling In One Scene, Not Just By The Actor's Help, But The Scenery As Well. Describing A Character's Feeling Does Help On How You Set Up The Scene, And De Palma Knew How To Make Character's Presence In Just One Scene. Finally, I Love The Music In This Movie. Pino Donaggio Who Was The Composer In This Movie, Did A Good Job Of Bringing Two Types Of Music. There Are Scenes Where He Would Put Calm And Happy Music And He Would Bring Out Horror & Creepy-Like Music On Scenes Where Carrie Uses Her Powers. I Do Like That Fact Donaggio Did Do A Certain Homage To Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho By Using Certain Scenes In The Movie, That Was An Awesome Tribute If You Asked Me.

In Closing,  The Original "Carrie" Movie Was One Of Those Classic Horror Movies That Is Must Have In The Movie Collection. I Really Did Enjoy Watching This Movie, And It's Rare For Me, Cause I Really Don't Watch Movies That Were Based On Stephen King Novels. And For A Horror Movie, There Is Not That Much Gore That You Would Have To Turn Your Head Away From The Screen, Of Course This Movie Takes Places In The 1970's, And It Fits The Movie So Perfectly On How They Describe The Characters And The Atmosphere. All In All, I Think That This Movie Would Be Perfect To Watch During The Halloween Season!

My Rating For "Carrie", By Rating This Movie Of The Use Of Carrie's Power Of Telekinesis: "Shattering A Light Bulb" Being The Lowest, And "Caving In The House" Being The Highest.
I Give "Carrie" A "Crucifying Margaret" Rating!

A "Crucifying Margaret" Is Like A 8 or 9 Rating... Or In This Case, The Letter "T".

Well, This Has Been The End Of Part I Of The "Carrie Review" Stay Tuned For Part II!

My First Review Post! Curse Of Chucky Review. (No Spoilers.)

Hello, Everybody! This Is Octavio Martinez Jr. A.K.A "The Movie Vato" And What Would Be A Great Movie To Watch During This Year's Halloween Season? I'm Glad You Ask! Cause I Just Finish Watching Don Mancini's Latest Installment Of The "Child's Play" Franchise... "Curse Of Chucky".

The Story Is About A Young Woman Who Receives A Mysterious Package Around The Same Time Of Her Mother's Untimely Death. Her Family Ends Up Staying With Her After Her Mother's Funeral, Little Did They Know That The Mysterious Package Contains A Doll That Contains Soul Of A Serial Killer By The Name Of Charles Lee Ray A.K.A Chucky, And Chucky Brings Out Havoc To This Little Family.

Brad Dourif Reprises His Role As Famous Killer Doll Chucky, And Yet... He Never Disappoints Me With That Voice. Fiona Dourif (Brad Dourif's Real-Life Daughter) Plays Nica, A Young Woman Who Is Paraplegic Who Recently Lost Her Mother And Receives Chucky As A "Gift". The Minor Characters In This Movie Contains Nica's Mother Played By Chantal Quesnelle And Nica's Family Played By Danielle Bisutti, Maitland McConnell, Brennan Elliott, & Summer H. Howell Who Made Her First Major Movie Debut In This Movie. The Cast Is Really Small, But The Violence And Gore Makes Up For It.
You Think This Would Be A Cute Picture Of A Innocent Little Girl And Her Little Doll, Right? Think Again!

The Effects On This Movie Were Are Still The Same As It Was 25 Years Ago: Brilliant Puppeteers, Robotic Animatronics, And Little Person Dressing Up As Chucky For Certain Movement Of The Character. The Newest Thing They Bring In This Movie Is Making Chucky Part Of The CGI World. In Some Ways, It's Good... But You Can Tell In Which Scenes Where The CGI Chucky Has Been Put In The Scene, And It Is Kind Of A Downside To The Movie, But I Really Don't Blame Them For Trying. The Good Thing About The CGI In This Movie Is The Facial Expressions They Use For Chucky When He Is In His Doll Mode, Sometimes, You Will See The Human Side Of Chucky And It Does Bring The Voodoo Magic Come To Life A Little Bit.

Chucky's Physical Appearance Has Always Improved Throughout The Years, And In This Movie Chucky Comes Back With A Brand New Face, A New Set Of Clothes, But, The Same Old Attitude. When Chucky Is In His "Good Guy" Mode, He Mostly Looks Like A "My Buddy" Doll, And This Face Look Like It Was Made Out Of Certain Latex That Was Near Human-Like In The Movie, Which Makes The Doll A Big Improvement Since The First "Child's Play" And "The Bride Of Chucky", If You Watch The First Four Movies The Good Guy Doll Look Too Much Like A Robot More, Than A Actual Doll. But If You Look At "The Seed Of Chucky", He Was Supposed To Look Like A Doll, End Up Being A Mechanical Puppet (Which He Really Was.) But, In The End... I Do Love The Fact That They Made Him Into A DOLL Doll, And Not A Robot Doll.

The Evolution Of Chucky's Appearance Keeps Getting Better And A Little Bit Scary As Well. Let's Be Honest, Who The Hell Wants To Wake Up Next To This Freakin' Doll?!

The Story In This Movie Will Confuse You Just A Little Bit In The Beginning Cause It Does Leave You Questions On Why Does Chucky Shipped Himself To A Family That We Never Heard Of? Is Family Somehow Related To Him In Someways? Or A Family Member That Was Apart Of The Child's Play Universe In The Past? Well, After Watching The Second Half Of The Movie, It Does Explain A Lot About Chucky's Character, And It Reveals More On What He Made Him A Vicious Killer. But, The Story Also Revolves Around The Family As Well! I Don't Want To Reveal Anything That Will Spoil Anything, But All I Can Say Is... Holy Crap! And Yes, They Mention Andy Barclay Like Every "Child's Play" Movie. (Except "Seed Of Chucky"... That's Why It Sucked.) And Chucky Does Do His Signature The Voodoo Chant.

Don Mancini Wanted To Make "Curse Of Chucky" As Reboot Of The "Child's Play" Franchise, In Some Ways, He Did Reboot The Series, But He Also Made This Movie To Celebrate The 25th Anniversary Of The Original "Child's Play" Movie, He Thought It Would Be Good To Bring Back Chucky As A Lone Killer And Not As A Family Man. This Movie Happen To Be Mancini's First Movie That He Made His Debut As A Director In The Horror Genre. Universal Studios Gave Mancini 30 Days To Complete The Whole Movie, It Would Take 50 To 60 Days To Complete The Whole Production Of A Feature Flim, But Mancini Wanted To Make And Release This Movie On The Same Year. They Started Production In Early May Of 2013 And Ended Production On June 2013. That Explains Why "Curse Of Chucky" Went Straight-To-Video, And Not To The Theaters. This Film Was Made Digitally, Not Film Reel. Which Is Kinda Of Cool.

"Curse Of Chucky" Has Two Different Versions: Rated R, And The Unrated Version. I Would Suggested To Watch The Unrated Version Cause It Shows More Gore In There, And... I Know I Didn't Want To Spoil Anything, But... When The Movie Ends Stay After The Credits, Cause There Is A Cliffhanger At The End Of The Movie. "Child's Play 7" Maybe?

In Closing, "Curse Of Chucky" Was A Good Movie That Went Straight-To-Video. It Is Very Rare That You Have A Good S.T.V. Movie Nowadays, Cause Movie Studios Just Make Sequels To Make Another Buck, And Of Course... Sequels Will Not Have Main Actors And The Main Characters, It Would Deal With Unknown Characters That Might Be Related To One Of The Main Characters, Or It Deals With A Side Character That Deal With The First Movie. But Not "Curse Of Chucky"... The Main Character Returns, And The Actor Reprises His Role That Made Him A Horror Movie Icon! And This Film Does Not Bring A Cheesy Horror Movie That You Would Normally See Like The Last Two "Child's Play" Movies. This Was A Good Old-Fashioned Dark And Creepy Horror Movie! And I Think That You Movie Goers With Not Be Upset Of This Latest Installment This Horror Classic!

My Rating For The This Movie: "Seed Of Chucky" Being The Lowest & "Child's Play" Being The Highest... I Give It A "Child Play 2" Rating.

Yeah, Curse Of Chucky Was Child's Play 2 Good! Not Too Bad And Not Too Good.
I'm The Movie Vato, And I Hope That You Will Get A Chance To See This Movie, Before The End Of This Year's Halloween. Stay Tuned For My Latest Blogs That Will Deal With Horror Movies This Month! Adios, Movie Buffs!
